Principal Systems Engineer

Sean received the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Hons) and Diploma of Engineering Practice in 2001 from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia.  He is currently a PhD candidate at the UTS Centre for Health Technologies working in the field of pattern analysis, classification, and their application to real-world problems. 

Since 1997 he has been extensively involved in the development of medical devices, including: medical grade instrument emulators and data acquisition (AMLAB), cardiac stimulators (Micropace), hearing prosthesis (Cochlear), left ventricle assist devices (Ventracor), and hands-free technologies (UTS).

Outside of medical devices Sean has worked in various industries, which includes: HVAC (Staefa Control Systems), Automotive (BTR Automotive), and Defence Industries (Raytheon Australia). 

As our Principal Systems Engineer Sean takes client product concepts and applies systems engineering methodologies to create the requirements and necessary architecture for detailed design and development.  He also creates the verification and validation plans to enable the development of test protocols, reports, and summaries.

Sean also provides the Risk Management capability for all phases of product development.  This ability also incorporates reliability engineering for all developed products including hardware and software.
